We recorded this, but a very different version, back when the band were still a gigging entity. We never did record the vocals, but I played around with it, adding some samples.
This is another version again, very much reworked but including the original recorded version.
The idea of this re-imagining of the song is that you're tuning a crappy radio and find the original version, but move on and find this (sort of) EDM reworking of it.
I see it as a bit of a Russian doll version of a version.
It is the most radically re-worked song from the VOI-D catalogue.
lyrics
The original word were:
Where do you go to get that feeling? - Psychedelia
I can see what you are hearing - Psychedelia
My only tie to you: The Earth - Psychedelia
The downward void to your rebirth - Psychedelia
Love me just for who I am
Take it all with trembling hand
The value of my sanity
The broken sword of vanity
I can feel the life you're living
I can taste the blood you're bleeding
Take it all - that I am giving
Am I mad? Am I insane?
Where do you go to get that feeling - Psychedelia
I can hear what you are seeing - Psychedelia
Our only common ground is wasteland - Psychedelia
Taking all my thoughts away
The 'In- the near-future-we’re-all-fucked' theme.
Here you'll find a (probably) anxious and depressed or even furious ally with whom to yell at the seemingly mindless actions of many of you humans. Phil Lively

You will seldom hear Chapman Stick played as effectively as this.
A heavy rock/jazz vibe and a unique lineup of astonishing musicians, you should get everything Geph does and pray they do more. Phil Lively
Talented songwriter firing on all cylinders. Beautifully constructed album. Exciting narrative songs. Gives me that same melancholy feeling that Alice in Chains and Opeth manage but no one seems to be able to convey. Liam Smith
